LED Maintenance

The maintenance factor taken into account:

  • the luminous flux decline due to failure or aging of lamps
  • the possible contamination of a lamp over time
  • the indoor and outdoor conditions that may contribute to pollution and aging
  • Duration of the maintenance cycle
  • operating times
  • Lifetime of a plant

Example:
In a maintenance factor of 0.5, a system must generate twice the luminous flux at the beginning, so that it provides to first maintenance level required in the relevant standard illumination. The extra brightness in the installation is also referred to as light output buffer.
